Deadline To Apply for TV Show August 15, 2007

The New Mexico Music Commission is producing a TV series called New Mexico Southwest Sounds.

The show promotes New Mexico music and tourism, and currently airs on ABC station KOAT-TV.

The New Mexico Music Commission is seeking experienced musicians of all genres to audition for the television show New Mexico Southwest Sounds. The show promotes local music and tourism, and currently airs on KOAT-TV. To audition, the following is REQUIRED: 2 original songs recorded on a CD. Proof of copyrights to those songs. To audition, please send a non-returnable CD, photograph and brief bio to NM Music Commission, PO Box 1450, Santa Fe, NM 87504. Material must be postmarked no later than August 15, 2007.

A panel of judges will select participants August 20, 2007.

Musicians selected to perform will be
contacted by telephone by NMMC.

The New Mexico Music Commission staff will review applications for eligibility, completeness, and accuracy.

• A review panel made up of musicians and other artists from New Mexico, will review the applications and select the musicians who will perform in the television show.

Only complete applications will be considered. An application which is incomplete, unclear, conditional, or which contains irregularities of any kind may be rejected without evaluation.

Audition materials are assessed according to the extent to which they are consistent with and address the selection criteria outlined (above/below). Applicants are assessed against other applicants from across the State of New Mexico and not all applications that meet the eligibility criteria will be selected to perform in the television show. Submission of audition materials does not bind the State to any action or to any party. Submissions do not create or assume any relationship, agency or obligation by the State, its officers or employees. The State may investigate the qualification(s) of each applicant in order to obtain additional information deemed necessary to determine the abilities and eligibility of the applicant. This includes information needed to evaluate the experience of the applicant.

All decisions of the New Mexico Music Commission and the Review Panel are final. Submission of an application constitutes an understanding and agreement of the conditions set forth in these guidelines.
