Public Announcement

The New Mexico Music Commission will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1:00pm. In light of the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-004, declaring a state of public health emergency and directing agencies to take necessary precautions to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19, the Music Commission has decided to hold the April 13, 2021 meeting via Zoom video conference. The meeting is open to the public. You may participate with a computer or phone.

About the New Mexico Music Commission

The New Mexico Music Commission consists of fifteen unpaid volunteers serving one to three-year terms appointed by, and renewable at, the Governor’s discretion. Its mission is to protect, promote, and preserve the music traditions of New Mexico, to foster appreciation of the value of music, and to encourage the educational, creative and professional music activities of the residents of New Mexico. Cumulatively, the music commissioners represent decades of music industry experience and expertise, spanning multiple disciplines and genres.

New Mexico Music Commission to Meet in Albuquerque August 13, 2019

Santa Fe – The New Mexico Music Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 10 am to noon, in the Board of Directors Room, Old Brick building, at The Menaul School, 301 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM  87107. The meeting is open to the public. Please check in with security at the front gate before entering the Menaul campus.

Copies of the agenda will be available at least 72 hours prior to the meeting at the Commission’s website, nmmusic.org. Copies of the agenda also may be obtained by contacting New Mexico Arts at 505-827-6490, statewide 800-879-4278, or fax 505-827-6043.

These unframed pieces are on display at the ART123 Gallery in Gallup and are for sale. Each piece comes with a sound recording (stored on a thumb drive) of the Art2Art performance during which the work was created, in front of a live audience. The recording helps ‘paint a picture’ of the environment in which these pieces were created.

Artist Bio

Winona House is an award-winning fine arts painter and graphic designer. Born in Albuquerque, raised in Gallup, Ms. House currently lives and works in Farmington. She’s been a featured artist for several galleries from Santa Fe to Gallup and Farmington. Her art is representative of New Mexico’s vibrant colors as well as its diverse cultures. Thank you Winona for your generous contribution of these works of art.
